Mantes-la-Jolie
For the historical city tour of the northern French town of Mantes-la-Jolie, we were able to realise the signage concept of the designers from Integral Designers. It is based on a clear but effective principle: all information boards, regardless of their size, consist of a yellow powder-coated steel plate, which are partly screen-printed. On top of this are aluminium sheets from which texts and graphic elements have been cut out. This makes the underlying layer of colour visible and creates an exciting interplay of surface and depth. The system is deliberately restrained in volume, blends precisely into the urban space - and yet remains clearly perceptible.
